Abstract
The Long-Horned Beetles of the northern
Rheinland (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae).
Faunistical data on the Cerambycidae of
Nordrhein, a part of Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany, are presented. Both
material kept in public and private collections, and the literature records
of the last 150 years are studied. 130 species have been recorded, 110
of them are considered indigenous. The remaining 20 species are either
introduced, their records were based on misidentifications, or they have
not succesfully established permanent populations. Of the 110 indigenous
species, 11 have gone extinct before 1950, and 3 are new to this region.
For every species the general distribution, the distribution in adjacent
regions and the regional distribution in Nordrhein is indicated. For 72
species maps illustrating their regional distribution, and for all species
data on general and regional bionomics are presented. The study is based
on 6,125 records from 580 localities.
